Inclusivity is in our DNA.

Nigeria has about 19 million people living with disabilities (roughly 9.6% of the population). Many of them face daily barriers in mobility, education, and employment. Our Ability Support program provides personalized help, from custom wheelchairs and hearing aids to literacy training in Braille and sign language.

Recent laws strengthen our mission, where the Disability Prohibition Act (2018) established a national commission to protect disability rights, and we work alongside government and NGOs to make inclusion real. For example, Chidera, who lost mobility after an illness, received one of our donated wheelchairs in 2024. With mobility restored, he joined vocational training at our center and now volunteers in our tech program. “I feel independent again,” he shares with a grin. Another beneficiary, Grace, attends an inclusive sewing class we organize; she now earns income for her family. Their smiles remind us why no one should be left behind.

Last year we distributed 100 wheelchairs and 150 hearing aids, and enrolled 80 children with disabilities in inclusive education programs. Tragically, an estimated 90% of Nigerian children with disabilities remain out of school, and this is the gap we work to close by training teachers and providing assistive tools.

As we break down barriers, you can help: volunteer at a special-needs center, donate mobility devices or braille books, or subscribe to our newsletter for ways to get involved. Together, we can uphold the dignity and potential of every person, regardless of ability.
